In late 2006, chef, cookbook author, and food policy activist Michel Nischan teamed up with like-minded actor and philanthropist Paul Newman to open Dressing Room – A Homegrown Restaurant – reflecting their mutual commitment to neighborly hospitality, local, natural and organic ingredients and regional American heirloom food. Located adjacent to the legendary Westport Country Playhouse, Dressing Room is a community gathering place, bringing diners together in a beautiful part of Connecticut. They wanted a web site to reflect the feeling of their philosophy. A large home page slider showcases the interior, while the site’s color scheme evokes the soft ambiance of their location.
