I continue to be concerned about privacy issues and use of Facebook. Facebook’s new Graph Search while increasing the depth of personalization, makes me even more paranoid.

Currently Facebook’s new Graph Search is in beta. However, when the new tool rolls out to more and more users,  they will be able to glean information from your page. Thus you might want to review your privacy settings. Even if you are not using Graph Search, others will be — and they might have access to pages you have like over the years. Thus they will be in a position to infer various concepts  about you, whether they are correct or incorrect.

I saw this possible search listed on The Huffington Post – Single women who live nearby and who are interested in men and like getting drunk.

Just do a search for “Lives in your town” “Single” “Interested in males” “Likes Getting Drunk”

We are very excited about our latest mobile site that we created for The Madison Art Cinema. This new site makes is so much easier to check showtimes, and learn about current films. Plus the large “Call Us” and “Find Us” makes it much easier for patrons to contact the theater.

There has been a huge increase in calls from smartphones as a result of the new mobile site.

Latest Mobile Launch for MACCT-CT.ORG

It is estimated that the mobile internet usage will surpass the desktop internet usage by 2013. For this reason we are urging our clients to start thinking about mobile versions of their website. Below is a site we created for MACC Charities, they  provides food, shelter,clothing and advocacy for the unmet basic needs in the Manchester community.

The standard website, is filled with images, videos and PDF’s. The mobile version is stripped of these, and offers the smartphone user a textual version of the site. This allows them to quickly find the information they are looking for and more importantly to quickly learn more about MACC Charities and their great work.

Latest Mobile Site Launch

We just launched another mobile site. Torrington Sober Houses located in Torrington CT. You can see the “Before” version, the standard site is difficult to view and navigate on an Iphone. However, the new mobile site we designed is simple to use and easy to locate important information. Plus there’s a large “Call Us” and “Find Us” buttons.

They have already noticed an increased numbers of calls.

 

Don't let your WordPress site get hacked
